Each model’s guardrails are different, as each organization has different goals with their models as well as different ethical and legal boundaries. They act as a filter to ensure that the model only produces what the model-makers want it to produce.
They are also important for risk management. Strong guardrails ensure that a consumer-facing chatbot won’t leak private data, use explicit language, or talk to customers in an inappropriate way.
