  • Co-reference resolution – identifying if two words refer to the same entity. 
  • Sentiment analysis -attempting to extract subjective qualities from the text (ex. emotions, sarcasm, confusion).
  • Word sense disambiguation – selecting the meaning of a word with multiple meanings through semantic analysis to determine what makes the most sense.
